Community Gardens Coming Soon to Montgomery County Parks!
With Councilmember Valerie Ervin’s office, we’re exploring starting a new community garden in Montgomery Parks this spring at Sligo Mill Overlook. For an annual fee, area residents will be able to use the garden to grow vegetables, herbs and flowers, beautify the neighborhood, form friendships with and learn from other community gardeners and more. As the program grows and neighbors come together, Montgomery Parks may open more public spaces to community gardens each year. In the meantime, share your thoughts on this proposed pilot site by calling our Community Gardens Information Line at 301-650-2635 or Email Community Gardens Montgomery County Parks .
