Central Avenue Connector Trail: Phase II - 30% Design Project
The 30% Design Plans have been prepared for Phase II of the CACT. This phase of the project focuses on the areas to the west and east of Phase I (Addison Road-Seat Pleasant), including the area around the Capitol Heights Metro Station (west) and continuing to the east to connect the Morgan Boulevard and Largo Town Center Metro stations. The primary goal of this project is to develop design plans and identify costs to construct the six-miles of trail facilities connecting Largo Town Center to Washington DC. This information, in conjunction with stakeholder buy-in, will enable the trail to move closer to construction.
This project has received regional attention, including coverage in the Washington Post.
