Work Life Programs

The Commission believes in attracting and retaining the best employees. To be a workplace of choiceWorkplace of Excellence requires an understanding of what employees value most at work and in their personal lives. The Commission has always been committed to maintaining policies and programs that meet the evolving needs of our workforce.

In the last few years, the topic of work/life has moved to the national forefront, as the workforce today is faced with an emphasis on productivity, increased personal demands, and an even greater effort to balance everyday work/life responsibilities. The Commission has a long history of offering employee-friendly benefits. In fact, the Commission was one of the first government agencies in the state of Maryland to offer Work/Life Programs.

The Commission has been recognized as a leader in Work/Life initiatives, and has been awarded the "Workplace Excellence Seal of Approval." To receive the coveted award, an organization must demonstrate a firm commitment to its employees through an inclusive corporate culture, progressive and flexible work/life programs, cutting-edge employee benefits, and strong community involvement.
