This is the project website for the Glenn Dale-Seabrook-Lanham and Vicinity Sector Plan and Sectional Map Amendment (SMA). The Prince George’s County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) has been directed by the Prince George’s County Council to prepare a sector plan and concurrent sectional map amendment (SMA) for the Glenn Dale, Seabrook, and Lanham communities of Planning Area 70.

In conjunction with the 2006 Approved East Glenn Dale Area Sector Plan and SMA, this project will result in current planning guidance for all of Planning Area 70 which is now largely guided by a master plan that was approved in 1993.

The sector plan will contain policies, objectives and recommendations that will guide future growth and development within the planning area. The SMA is a comprehensive rezoning process that will implement the sector plan recommendations by amending the zoning map for the planning area.

The goal of the sector plan and SMA is to implement the 2002 Prince George’s County Approved General Plan and support a community-based vision for the future of the planning area.
