Maryland’s 2003 Vision Award for Smart Growth

The M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department received two of this year’s fifteen Statewide Vision Awards:

1. In the category of Public School Construction/Renovation for planning and site selection for the new Samuel P. Massie Elementary/Suitland Community Park School Center, a state-of-the art educational and community facility constructed within an existing neighborhood;

2. In the category of Public Education & Outreach for “PlanningDotCom”, an innovative series of community workshops offering information on planning and development in Prince George’s County, a catalogue of services and materials available to the public, and tips on how to become involved in the planning process.
