PROJECT SCOPE

The Special Area Planning Study is defined as the area east of US 301 to the Patuxent River, between Upper Marlboro and Bowie. The area is bordered to the north by properties along Mill Branch Road and Mill Branch Place, and to the south by properties along Swanson Road (see map above). The goal of the study wais to create a vision for the area, identify planning issues, and recommend strategies for addressing these issues. This study included two workshops for citizens and stakeholders to collaborate and discuss strategies for the future of this area. A consultant, Environmental Resources Management, conducted the workshops.
