Office
Services
The
Office Services Section is the general support
unit to the Planning Department and Planning Board
office. The key functions of this unit include:
reproduction/printing, fleet management, courier
and U.S. mail, supply services and office equipment.
Publications
and Graphics
The
Publications and Graphics Section is a support
unit to the department which is responsible for
document production, including: printing, desktop
publishing, graphics design and editing. This section
is also responsible for the development, design
and implementation of the Planning Department's
web site.
Research
Section
The
Research Section is responsible for the preparation
of a wide variety of research, forecasting, reporting
and data collection activities, as well as assuring
the availability of detailed information and information
services on planning activities and processes.
The collection, analysis and presentation of insightful
documentation of relevant trends, conditions and
rankings present within Prince George's County
is critical to residents, government agencies and
private businesses. The Planning Department is
a key provider of such information to government
agencies, the business community and the general
public. Accurate, useful and timely information
on the County and its environs is essential to
the formulation of appropriate plans, policies
and action programs consistent with the mission
of the Planning Department.
