Planning and Research in Montgomery County

Planning Board

In Montgomery County, the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission operates through a five-member Planning Board which has full and final authority to administer the Subdivision Ordinance, the site plan process, and the optional method development process in Montgomery County; and for planning, acquiring, developing, maintaining, and operating the County's extensive park system. The Planning Board holds meetings open to the public each Thursday in the M-NCPPC Building, 8787 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20910 , to consider planning, zoning and subdivision matters. Publications

The Department of Park and Planning has a wide variety of information resources available to the general public. Many publications , from Master Plans to research on public policy issues, from demographic analysis to calendars of park activities are available on-line.
