Resource Conservation Plan
The Countywide Resource Conservation Functional Master Plan (the "Resource Conservation Plan" or "RCP") will combine the related elements of green infrastructure planning and rural character and agricultural conservation into one functional master plan in order to streamline the process, meet state requirements for planning elements, and more efficiently update existing plans and maps.
The Speaker Series will seek to support the overall objectives and priorities of the County by featuring timely and educational topics for our communities and the professionals that serve them.
The Prince George’s County Planning Department is conducting a comprehensive rewrite of the Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations. These laws define how land in certain geographic areas can be used. The current Zoning Ordinance is more than 1,200 pages, inconsistent and difficult to use. Our hope is to create a 21st Century Zoning Ordinance for Prince George’s County, transforming the current zoning code into a more modern and user-friendly ordinance.
