Steven Paul Lamb was born in New York City and raised in Baltimore, Maryland where he became a talented athlete. Steven was offered several full scholarships to run track, but chose

The University of Maryland where from 1964 to 1974 he set the school record for the 400 meters, as well as the record for 400 meters in the ACC. During this time, Steven also served as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard from 1968-1973. After he graduated with his Bachelors of Science from UMD, Steven went on to earn his MBA at American University.

In 1973 he started his own company Lamb Awards & Engraving, where his team manufactured awards for the government, military, various companies/organizations, and institutions all over the U.S. 46 successful years later in 2020, Steven’s nephew took over the business allowing Steven to start his new career with New York Life Insurance Company where he remains today.
