Description

The Forestville Transforming Neighborhoods Initiative (TNI) Area Pedestrian Infrastructure Assessment will inventory the location and condition of pedestrian infrastructure within the Forestville TNI area to focus on the implementation of complete streets policies and recommendations to improve pedestrian mobility/connectivity and safety.

Goals and Objectives

  1. To identify incomplete sidewalk networks, lack of pedestrian crosswalks at key intersections, lack of pedestrian access to schools, transit, parks, and other key community destinations
  2. Develop an assessment of pedestrian infrastructure that focuses on the implementation of complete streets policies and recommendations to improve pedestrian mobility/connectivity and safety.
  3. Identify and engage key stakeholders including area residents, property owners, and elected officials to implement the assessment’s recommendations.
