Therapeutic Recreation Programs

Therapeutic Recreation (TR) programs include:
  • Specialized programs designed to meet individual needs
  • Small groups
  • High staff to participant ratio
  • Trained staff
  • Adapted equipment
Therapeutic Recreation programs are for Prince George's County residents only.

Inclusion Services


We provide reasonable accommodations and modifications for individuals with disabilities in our general recreation programs. Register at least a minimum of two weeks in advance of the program start date to request and receive a disability accommodation. Services include, but are not limited to:
  • Accessible golf carts
  • Adapted equipment 
  • Audio description
  • Assistive listening devices
  • Information in alternative formats (e.g., large print or Braille)
  • Sign language interpreters
  • Trained support staff
  • Use of Companions
  • Water Wheelchairs
