'The Plane That Anyone Could Fly'

Saturday, July 13, 2019

Join us to discover the little known history of the Ercoupe, a  low-wing monoplane aircraft manufactured just a stone’s throw from the museum! Aviation expert Joel Carlson will share the compelling story of the Engineering and Research Corporation (ERCO) and their quest to mass produce the “Model T of the air.” Nearly 80 years ago, the aircraft billed as “the plane of tomorrow, delivered today" and the "plane that anyone could fly," changed the way we fly.

You'll end your morning with a flight demonstration, and watch pilot Chris Schuldt fly a fully-functioning Ercoupe into the College Park Airport! Come see history in the present!

Ages: All ages are welcome
