Tuesday, October 8, 2019
The Interstellar Dreams program runs for six weeks from October 12 to November 19. There will be a mandatory attendance parent orientation for all locations, Tuesday, October 8, 2019, from 6 to 8 pm at Prince George's Ballroom, 2411 Pinebrook Avenue, Landover, MD 20785. Light refreshments will be served.
The six interactive sessions will build on the history of space exploration and the role of satellites, integrate NASA Micro Satellite design with astronomy, explore future trends in colonizing Mars, and highlight careers in space tourism.
The goal of the "Interstellar Dreams" program is to nurture students to use their imaginations to design the future of space exploration. They will become creative innovators, effective problem solvers, and well-informed citizens who leverage astronomy for diplomacy while developing entrepreneurial ideas for space tourism.
