“Flora” is an exhibition featuring a series of drawings that explore the complex relationship between the human world & nature. Andrea Evans foraged for plant life from specific locations and formulated it into inks, charcoal, and other drawing media, that is then used to depict the very sites of their origin. From her desire to understand the real impact of the human world on nature, Evans’ work show the interwoven histories of humans and nature that shape the contemporary world.
