Prince George’s County Planning Department to Present Findings

for U.S. Route 1 Land Redevelopment Study

Planning Department to Host Community Meeting


LARGO, MD – The Prince George’s County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission will host an in-person community meeting to present findings from the U.S. Route 1 Land Redevelopment Study at the Beltsville Community Center on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. The U.S. Route 1 Land Redevelopment Study examines the 2010 Approved Master Plan and Sectional Map Amendment for Subregion 1 and the area along the Route 1 Corridor boundary from Quimby Avenue to Sunnyside Avenue, adjacent to the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center and the immediate surrounding neighborhoods.

 

The goal of this meeting is to provide residents and property owners with recommendations and discussions on how to welcome new businesses and residents, strengthen connections to places along the corridor and how to make the study area a thriving place to live and work.
