This alert applies to M‑NCPPC operations for Thursday, January 29, 2026.

M‑NCPPC facilities and operations in Prince George’s County will have a delayed opening time of 10:00 a.m. for staff.  Recreation programs will be cancelled for the day.  

• Critical and essential onsite employees are expected to report as scheduled unless directed otherwise by their department or supervisor.

• Non-essential employees scheduled to telework during the delay are not affected and are expected to telework at their regular starting time.  Employees may request to use accrued leave during the workday with supervisory approval.

• Non-essential employees scheduled to work onsite who are able to telework are expected to telework at their regular starting time.  Employees may request to use accrued leave during the workday with supervisory approval.

• Non-essential employees who are unable to telework—either because their position is not suitable for telework, they do not have the necessary IT equipment, or they experience a technical issue—are expected to arrive at 10:00 a.m. and will receive administrative leave for their scheduled work hours impacted during the delay (unless on pre-approved leave).

• Seasonal staff should consult with their supervisor for direction.

M‑NCPPC facilities and operations in Montgomery County will be OPEN (as scheduled) on Thursday January 29, 2026.

M‑NCPPC will continue to monitor weather-related conditions and will provide operating status updates as needed via email and on mncppc.org.
