Celebrating 60 years of the Cabin John Miniature Train at Montgomery Parks

WHEATON, Md. – For 60 years, the beloved Cabin John Miniature Train has chugged along creating memories for generations of families, delighting children and adults alike as it winds through Cabin John Regional Park. To celebrate this milestone anniversary, Montgomery Parks invites the community to join to enjoy half-price train rides all day on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Children under 12 will receive a free train whistle, while supplies last, and kids under age 2 ride free with a paying adult.
