Montgomery Parks to mark Juneteenth with family events, museum programs and Heritage Festival

Wheaton, Md. – Montgomery Parks will mark Juneteenth with special events beginning Saturday, June 13, at historic sites across Montgomery County. Juneteenth is a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States on June 19, 1865.
