Business Owner Engagement
General Statements
The SDI Office is in the process of developing and launching formal Local Small Business Enterprise (LSBE) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) programs. We have partnered with MGT Impact Solutions LLC to assist with stakeholder engagement and community outreach as we work together to design programs that foster inclusivity, competitiveness and accessibility within the procurement environment.
Through research, leveraging disparity study results on barriers that may limit vendor participation in Commission procurement opportunities and within the broader marketplace, this initiative will identify barriers to participation, evaluate successful practices used by peer agencies, and develop recommendations that promote equitable access to contracting opportunities. As part of this process, we are committed to gathering input from local businesses, community organizations, industry partners, and residents to ensure that our stakeholders’ voices inform the development of these programs and that they reflect the needs and priorities of the communities we serve.
Business Owner Engagement
All business owners are encouraged to share their experiences. These engagement opportunities will help the Commission better understand the experiences, challenges, and opportunities facing business seeking to
work with the Commission or other public or private organizations in the region.
Access the M-NCPPC Program Development Project Flyer to provide feedback and participate in one or more of these engagements, or see further details below.
